New Earswick Primary School

To have the best, to do our best, to be the best that we can be.

Year 1 : 2016-17

Miss L. Paver

Our new enrichment topic is 'helping the community' so we have been helping the staff at New Earswick Nature Reserve. They asked us to plant some bluebells as they didn't have any there. We had a lovely afternoon planting both bluebells and daffodils. We left a sign with our bulbs so that everyone will know we planted them. We also bumped into Callum's dad and Jack's brother who were there fishing. We cant wait to go back and see how much they have grown.

We really enjoyed dressing up for world book day!

We have really enjoyed beginning our new enrichment topic of 'Keeping safe.' For our first lesson we learnt how to cross a road safely and then put our knowledge to the test.
We have also been lucky enough to have a visit from the local PCSO's. They taught us all about stranger danger, answered all our questions, let us try on their uniforms and even let us sit in their police car.
